The idea-of these structures is to feel like the music, movement and fluidity is supposed to be present... my technical skill with C4D doesn't allow me to push the materiality of the object to the stage where i can show the movement. 

SAILS!
These monoliths are supposed to give the essence / maybe even look like a sail on a ship mast. 
Adding that extra sense of journey and story as to where that plastic may have traveled from. how far it could have gone and making you speculate more. 
also makes the simulaion feel more authentic.

FANS WIND BLOWING THEM, ALMOST LIKE A SAIL AT SEA
WATER SEEPING OVER THEM AND LIGHTLY SPRAYING OFF
LIKE A WET WINDY EERY NIGHT IN THE OCEAN 
THE SETTING AND STORY BEINGS TO FORM IN YOUR MIND

With better resourses like the uni workshop and access to space and materials I think These could have been a fantastic outcome for the final physical monoliths. But as per restrictions the boxes will have be the working outcome for now
